The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children

Founded by a grassroots group to serve special needs children and their families, The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children was chartered on Sept. 19, 2006. The not-for-profit (501c3) Center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.  The Center has applied for childcare licensing and plans to open October 2008.

While the Center is open to children with disabilities and places a special focus on children who require nursing services and are qualified as medically fragile, we enthusiastically welcome all children.

The first service offered by the Center in 2007 was an 8-week summer camp in conjunction with Stark County Board of MRDD. Currently the Golden Key offers child care and before/after school care, intervention services for children with autism, care for the medically fragile child and consultation services in addition to the summer camp.

The Golden Key Center Offers:
  • Special Needs child care
  • Before & After School Care
  • School Aide Training/Paraprofessional
  • Tutoring Service
  • Consultation for School Program
  • Speech Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Medical Support
