Kathy Catazaro-Perry, RN BA
Executive Director, Childcare & Medically Fragile Care

Kathy Catazaro-Perry, RN BAKathy takes pride in providing a Center with quality child care for children with disabilities and those diagnosed as medically fragile. She has been a nurse for 21 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Mrs. Catazaro-Perry has held leadership positions in two local hospitals, Director of Weight Management at Aultman Hospital and Director of Doctors Hospital Wound Healing Center. She has won several awards for leadership and marketing. Kathy and her husband, Tony, have five children. The youngest has Down Syndrome.

Mrs. Perry is serving a third term on Massillon City Council. She sits on the board of the Massillon Boys and Girls Club and is a past president of the Perry Rotary Club. She is a past co-chair for the Massillon Museum Levy and past chair of the Community Health Foundation of Greater Massillon and the Stark County Library Foundation. She is also a member of Massillon Quota International, Walsh Women's Committee and the Service League.

Kathy is the founder and coach for the American Elites "American Idols." This special needs team practices from September through March and participates in local, state and national cheerleading competitions.

Terry Frank, MEd.

Terry Frank, MEd.Terry is dedicated to assisting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. She is the second in the state of Ohio certified in Relationship Development Intervention® (RDI), a treatment model targeting the core deficits of autism.

Mrs. Frank holds a teaching license in Education of the Handicapped, Early Education of the Handicapped, Developmentally Handicapped and Moderate, Severe, Profoundly Handicapped. She is licensed as a Specialist in Early Intervention and is trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis by the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism.

She served as an intervention specialist (Birth to 3 years) for 22 years on the Stark County Board of MRDD and a curriculum instructor (Birth to 6 years) with the agency for five years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in special education and a master’s in education.

Mrs. Frank was selected as Teacher of the Year by the Canton Association for the Education of the Young Child. She was also selected on the area “Team of Teachers” from the Canton Repository.

Terry has been married to Denny for 29 years and they have three children. She is a founding member of the Stark County Autism Awareness Network (SCAAN).

 

Associates

Master Teachers
All master teachers must have the minimum requirement of a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education & Development or Special Education with a minumum of two years experience. They are trained in CPR, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse and Universal Precautions.

Classroom Teachers

All Classroom Teachers are hired based on Guidelines through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. In Addition, all teachers are given extensive educational training with special needs, including autism.

Nurse
The Registered Nurse must have a minimum requirement of three years of pediatric experience, CPR, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, Child Abuse, First Aid and Communicable Disease. The nurse provides care services including administration of medication up to and including care of the tracheostomy. The nurse also provides emergency first aid and care for minor injuries.

Classroom Assistant
All Assistant Teachers will be hired based on the guidelines established through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and will complete an extensive orientation program which includes but is not limited to: training in communicable diseases, child abuse, developmental expectations, first aid and universal precautions.
